Sunlight Dripping...

Am I dreaming?
Seem to sometime
But then I realise
There's true poetry
In our effortless rhyme

We came together
Deep in talk
Me the board, you the chalk
Questions posed
Stories shared
So entwined
in our inquiring mind

Lay the lights
Roll that tree
Unwrap that sugar
Then you'll really see
Smiling
Sniggering
Uncontrollably
Take a breath
There's no mocking
Well not from me
But then there it comes
Not heard before
It's outta me
Laugh my arse off
It's on the floor

When I see your face
It makes my heart
Run that race
Skip a beat
Lift apart

You've changed my frequency
Signals codes
Past pain
Your smile erodes
You've given me chance to
Electric feel
Now I know what it is
To breathe for real

Hold tight
I feel so right
When I'm with you
Something shifts
Deep within
Senses collide
When you're here
Warm inside
I'm completed
From the outside in
Don't describe
Could never begin

I know what's real
Believe me
Trust
That's
Us
I
Feel safe
Take a chance
Don't fear that lust
Leaves me spent
Wanting more

I may sometimes be
Changed by time or place
But your feelings upon me
You tenderly trace
Bring me back to where I snugly fit
It's in our world I wanna sit
Sometimes with
Just you and me
At home alone
Feeling calm
Just sigh just still
When time slowly stops
Where we have no will
Then flick that switch
Breathe a
low roar
Softly signalling
That you want more
Ignited passion firing fast
Crimson sparks gold
Red hot rawness will it last?

Once outside
Amongst the crowds
We seem to float
You are the life
To my little boat
I may just talk to anyone
But it's you that's begun
This joie de vivre
My liquid centred golden sun

I know where I want to be
Daydreamy wrapped in reverie
Reasonably ripe
Perfectly plucked
Take that chance
Hips sway towards you dance
Time to play
Now what d'you say

First it's me
Then it's you
 Now together
We'll seek and find
What the world holds in its humble hand

You're
My mind mischief
My glass half full of wine
Sunlight dripping
So sublime
Life can be simple
So come play
Just be mine

This love has only just begun
